In 1976
Al-Shafey Readymade Garments Company was established in the city of El-Mahalla El-Kubra to cover the local market and export, and with the passage of time, competition and market demand increased, the company developed rapidly and added some textile, dyeing, and finishing machines during the period from 1990 until 1998, in order to increase the manufacturing and marketing capacity.
In 2001
Al-Ola ring-spinning factory was established and added, to spin cotton and blended yarns, which is the basis for the manufacture of ready-made garments.
It was considered the first of its kind at the time. This addition was a great development and a change in the course of the Al-Shafey name.
In 2005
the company established a dyeing house factory, finishing and printing in 6th of October
City.
In 2014
The Rotor spinning factory (open-end spinning) was established, it is the first of its kind in Egypt so far.
In 2021
Al-Ola Spinning and Knitting Company included all the previous companies in order to operate under one roof, which performs all stages of manufacturing operations under the name Al-Olatex Spinning and knitting, as it is able to meet the market needs of all materials
